Learn more about the “vape” pen crisis

Anyone who knows me knows I’ve never been a fan of “vape” pens. In fairness, you’ll see me in an early episode of Vice puffing on one. I was psyched about the potential, just like you. But I noticed pretty quickly that they didn’t feel good in my body.

And then I learned that most don’t vaporize at all — they combust. The oil, the plastics and the metals inside. They are cheap, borrowed technology from Big Tobacco, (and we know how little Big Tobacco cares about our health). The material components are mass produced in China (who also doesn’t care about our health). They shouldn’t even be called “vape” pens. They should be called “combust” pens.

You won’t see any favorable content on my website about “vape” pens, except for mentions of medical-grade, convection heat-designed Hmbldt/Dosist, and non-disposable handheld devices like the Firefly. If true vaping is your thing, invest in a Volcano or VapeXhale for your home.

The most effective cannabis medicine, as well as the most sustainable and renewable, is flower. Fight for legislation to grow your own. And if you’re one of the several thousand people I’ve met who’ve defended “vape’ pens for being discreet and convenient, try a full-spectrum, fully batch-tested cannabis sublingual tincture, available for purchase from a licensed dispensary. A couple of drops under the tongue, onset within 12-15 minutes. Discreet, Convenient. Effective. SAFE.
